Mr Tyron Cover and Ms Lori Parmley are taking six student to the remote Indigenous Communities of Lombadina/Djaradjin in Western Australia. They will again link up with Christ the King Primary School and run their sports day, as well as a holiday program for the community in conjunction with the Save the Children organisation.
24/06/2018: The group has arrived safely in Broome after a day of travel and are aiming to see a Cable Beach sunset during dinner.
27/06/2018: All going well in Lombadina/Djarindjin. The students are happy and healthy. A successful day at Christ the King school and a bush tucker tour with local elder Bundy. Lots of laughs as a group throughout the day.
29/06/2018: We are having a good time in Lombadina at the moment. A tour this morning with local aboriginal elder Robert was very informative about the local Lombadina/Djarindjin history. School holiday program began today with the Year 10 students working with the local children playing basketball, footy and drawing/colouring. NDC students all in good health and eating plenty of fruit!
02/07/2018: All still going well in Lombadina. Students healthy and happy. A once in a lifetime day yesterday touring with local Brian Lee.
04/07/2018: Our last full day in Lombadina today. It will be a sad but fulfilling goodbye to the locals who we have met along the way. All going well and still currently on track for our arrival time in Melbourne late Thursday night.
