Please complete our AI in Education Parent Survey

The proliferation of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has significant implications for education; while it creates many challenges, it can also be a tool for enhancing learning and teaching. At Notre Dame College, we have enlisted the services of Leon Furze from Deakin University to provide advice and assistance in the development of policies and strategies for maximising the benefits of GenAI. We are also mindful of the imperative to minimise risks to privacy, security, academic integrity, and discrimination.

In advance of a parent information evening in September, (which Leon Furze will address the issues of GenAI in education), we are seeking your thoughts and opinions about GenAI. Your responses will help us better understand your perspectives and concerns, allowing us to make informed decisions about the use and management of GenAI at Notre Dame College. This short survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete SURVEY LINK.

Thank you for your time and contribution to enhancing the education community of Notre Dame College.

She did it BEST

Congratulations Milana Best (Year 12) who was recently shortlisted as a finalist for the 2024 Victorian Training Awards - School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year. "When I found out about the awards I was overwhelmed with excitement and felt so privileged. I was nominated by my employer, I then answered a number of questions that were assessed against specific criteria, which then took me to the interview stage. From there I was selected as part of the final 3".

Milana has been very busy with Year 12 and completing her Certificate III in Business Administration and Management which involves a 1 day per week placement with VICPOL. More recently, she has accepted an exciting traineeship "I’m starting a traineeship at a dental clinic in Shepparton for the next 18 months as a Dental Assistant" this too will involve part time study.

Each year, there are hundreds of nominations from around the state. This selection as a finalist in the awards program is testament to all that she has achieved. Milana has been invited to attend the Victorian Training Awards gala on Friday, 30 August at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Winners will be announced at the Gala and will receive recognition for their achievements, a trophy and prize money.

Regardless of the final outcome, we are so proud of you for being nominated among the brightest in our state, and wish you all the BEST at the Gala.
