On Thursday 20 September our Yr 12 VET Health students coordinated the first ever Staff Health check clinic at NDC.
Using skills and the knowledge they have accumulated over the last two years, each student was assessed health checking three different patients in the clinic. The health check included temperature, pulse and respirations, blood pressure, blood glucose, spirometry and BMI.
Students were assessed not only on their skills but also on infection control prevention, communication, professionalism and health and safety awareness based on health industry standards.
The VET Health course at NDC runs in partnership with Goulburn Valley Health and Latrobe University, giving students practical experience and valuable insight into the health industry throughout the 2 year course.
Students are now nearing exam time and can proudly say that they have completed their qualification with pride.
Ms Millsteed and the NDC community wish you all the best of luck in your exams and for your future.
The displays are located in the Library.
Well done to all students.
The 2024 Year 10 Lavalla Leadership Camp was held at Amberly Retreat Centre. This camp saw Game Changer students embrace each other and the programme to make for a deeply meaningful and faith-filled experience with memories to treasure.
A special thanks to staff members Ella Bathman and Eula Hunter-Smith for the care and joy they bring into their time with the students.
