ATHLETICS

NDC students competed at the Goulburn Murray Division Athletics Carnival on 3 September in Shepparton. NDC finished 1^st in the Female Champions Aggregate, 2^nd in the Males Champions Aggregate and 2^nd in the Overall Schools Championship.

The following students had outstanding results to finish in the top two of the Age Group Champions awards:

14 Yr Male: 2^nd Sidney Nihill & James Kelly

17 Yr Male: 1^st Zac Bathman, 2^nd Ashton Young
20 Yr Female: 1^st Fiorina Iaria, 2^nd Holly Egan
20 Yr Male: 2^nd Jett Bruton

Jack Gospel & Isla Shaw ran scintillating times in the 1500m events to break long standing records:

Jack – 4.15:00 for the 17yo Boys 1500m; previous record 4.20:85 held since 1998
Isla – 5.41:13 for the 14yo Girls 1500m; previous record 5.43:31 held since 2014

Students to finish in the top two of their events will go through to the Hume Region Carnival in Albury on 10 October.

SOCCER

After winning the Goulburn Murray Division & Hume Region Carnivals held earlier this year, NDCs Senior Soccer team competed at the School Sport Victoria State Championships held in Melbourne on 12 September. The team won one game and lost two to finish 5^th in the State. The results were as follows:

· Round 1: Rowville SC 2 def NDC 1

· Round 2: NDC 2 def Lavalla Catholic College Traralgon 0

· Round 3: Williamstown HS 1 def NDC 0

Best players were Xavier Black, Josh Reid & Orlando Bevilacqua.
