Last Thursday 15 August we celebrated The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a whole school Mass.
This is a holy day of obligation for the Catholic Church as it celebrates when the Holy Mother, having completed her course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heaven.
The Feast of the Assumption also holds special significance within our College through the College’s association with our Marist and Mercy charisms, which both share a devotion to Mary.
Fr Rob Galea, Fr Jackson Saunders and Monsignor Peter Jeffery joined us to celebrate this special day. Students also had the opportunity to attend a session with Fr Rob which was lead with his infectious enthusiasm, prayer, music and his insight into the importance of finding peace in our lives.
