Notre Dame College invites you to disappear into the decadent world of the 1920s, where the champagne flows, the caviar chills, and the entire world becomes a party.
In a darkened theatre audiences are welcomed by the peculiar Man in Chair, a die-hard musical theatre fan, who welcomes us into his living room. He drops the needle on his all-time favourite album, The Drowsy Chaperone, an outrageously funny musical set in the decadent world of the 1920s.As the record spins the show bursts into life complete with starlets, gangsters, and all manners of mayhem. It is a colourful musical with vaudeville gags and tap-dance galore!Through the narration of the record, the audience is introduced to Janet van de Graaff, a young starlet about to give up her career on the stage to marry the dashing Robert Martin. However, between Janet's drowsy chaperone, the forgetful hostess Mrs. Tottendale, Latin lothario Aldolpho, and Janet's calculating producer, Feldzieg, there are more than enough hijinks to keep us entertained!

Performances:
Our Year 11 & 12 Theatre Studies students visited the renowned Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne to see "Macbeth (An Undoing)."
This excursion was a fantastic opportunity to analyse and evaluate a professional performance, a key part of their studies. The innovative adaptation provided rich material for discussion and critique.
Our students left inspired by Malthouse's production, with plenty to reflect on for their own work.
Congratulations to our very own Jacinta Todd on her recent re-appointment as the 17/U State Netball Team Head Coach for 2025.
Jacinta is not only a beloved Teacher here at Notre Dame College but is one of our Sports Academy Coaches for 2024. She provides a plethora of netball knowledge having played the game at state and national level. She has also been a generous contributor to the Goulburn Valley Netball League having notched up over 150 A grade games, has won best and fairest awards as well as taking on various coaching roles at club level.
Her recent appointment will involve many trips to Melbourne (which she is already doing twice a week to coach City West Falcons in the Championship division of the Victorian Netball League). The team will then compete at the National Champs in April 2025 (a week long competition).
On behalf of the Notre Dame College community, we wish Jacinta the very best in her coaching role, and best wishes for the upcoming finals series for City West Falcons in the VNL Competition
Our students are fortunate to have access to this standard of coaching.

Last Thursday guest speaker Trent Suratman from "Infinite Performance" attended NDC to present to the Year 11 Personal Development and Skills cohort.
"Infinite Performance" designs programmes for clients to optimise their performance from both a physical and mental perspective. Trent identifies if there are any hurdles that stand between the client and them achieving their full potential.
Trent’s presentation targeted self-awareness, the journey into adulthood, the challenges we face and how to be the best version of ourselves. All of these concepts align with our PDS curriculum.
