BASKETBALL

After winning the Goulburn Murray Division and Hume Region Carnivals, NDC’s Year 7, 8 and Intermediate Boys Basketball teams competed at the School Sport Victoria State Basketball Carnival in Melbourne on 18 November. At these Championships, the top 8 qualifying Schools from around the State competed in two pools, so the standard of the competition was outstanding.

The results were as follows:

Year 7 Boys

Game 1: Rowville SC 47 def NDC 13;

Game 2: Catholic College Sale 46 def NDC 20;

Game 3: Surf Coast SC 49 def NDC 32

Best Players were Chace Hueston, Tyler Betson, Rylan Stephans

NDC finished 8th

Year 8 Boys

Game 1: Rowville SC 73 def NDC 34;

Game 2: NDC 41 def Lavalla Catholic College Traralgon 21;

Game 3: Maribyrnong SC 57 def NDC 56

Best Players were Jack Young, Brodie Payne, Spencer Wright

NDC finished 6th

Intermediate Boys

Game 1: Templestowe SC 31 def NDC 21;

Game 2: Lavalla Catholic College Traralgon 54 def NDC 46;

Game 3: Maribyrnong SC 50 def NDC 32
