Last week College staff, and all staff across the Sandhurst Diocese, came together to officially launch Magnify Sanhurst.
What is Magnify Sandhurst?
Magnify Sandhurst combines evidence-based practices in teaching and learning to support each student's unique needs, strengths, and goals. The Magnify program focuses on strengthening core areas like literacy and numeracy, building supportive classroom environments, and integrating Catholic values in daily learning.
We are committed to improving outcomes and providing a program where every student can flourish, inspired by the mantra: "Every Student, Every Teacher, Every School, Every Day.
This comprehensive and exciting new learning and teaching program will be introduced across 2025 to 2027 with each phase designed to bring measurable improvements in each learning environment whilst creating streamlined curriculum across the diocese.
We look forward to working with students and families, keeping you informed and involved every step of the way.

We are excited to announce a new partnership between our NDC Sports Academy and Melbourne Victory FC for 2025.
This partnership will enable students in our Sports Academy soccer program to travel to Melbourne and participate in a training session at Melbourne Victory's facilities, conducted by their coaches. During their visit, students will have the opportunity to observe Melbourne Victory's training sessions (where available) and attend presentations by Melbourne Victory staff and players.
Melbourne Victory will also be providing exclusive membership discounts to home games for our Soccer Sports Academy students and their families.
As our soccer program continues to grow, we look forward to developing our partnership with Melbourne Victory further in the years ahead, alongside our existing partnership with the GV Suns.

Congratulations to Emme Cole and former student Elwin Biju who both received awards at the Greater Shepparton Australia Day Awards ceremony.
Young Citizen of the Year - Shepparton and Young Citizen of the Year - Greater Shepparton Region, Emme Cole:
A talented and versatile sportsperson, Emme Cole is a standout hockey player known for her skill, stamina, and passion for the game. Her love for hockey extends beyond the field, as she trains junior and senior players, breaking down skills to make learning easier for less experienced teammates. Emme has been instrumental in promoting hockey to younger generations, participating in roadshows to introduce primary school children to the sport and encouraging them to get involved. Her dedication to growing local participation reflects her enthusiasm and leadership. A three-time representative of the State of Victoria, Emme’s commitment to hockey has seen her balance rigorous training in Melbourne with regular attendance at her local club, Strikers. She supports junior members’ development while helping newer senior players refine their basic skills.'
Junior Sports Award – Elwin Biju
'Elwin's passion for Badminton began at age eight, training with his father. Since moving to Shepparton in 2018, Elwin has shown remarkable dedication, striving to improve his skills despite limited local coaching and facilities. His "never give up" attitude has been key to his progress. To support others, Elwin and his father started the Badminton Shepparton Academy (BSA), where they coach players of all ages, preparing them for competitions. Currently 25 students train under Elwin, who is committed to fostering talent in the community.'
Congratulations Emme and Elwin, we are so proud of you both.
A gorgeous group of kids who enjoyed chatting with Mr Cortese and sharing their thoughts and experiences of day one at Notre Dame College. Mr Cortese loves getting out into the yard and meeting all the new students.
We hope you all had a very special day, there were so many smiling faces.
