NOTRE DAME COLLEGE OUTSTANDING ATHLETE AWARD

The Notre Dame College Outstanding Athlete Awards, proudly sponsored by the Marist Basketball Club, is presented to two students each Semester who demonstrate strong role model behaviour, commitment to academic performance, embrace the NDC values and have outstanding results in the NDC Sports Academy Program and/or when representing NDC at Inter School Sport.

The 2023 Semester Two winners were as follows:

Jensen Dowling – Jensen had outstanding performances for the Senior Boys Basketball team on the way to competing at the School Sport Victoria State Championships after winning the Goulburn Murray Division and Hume Region Carnivals. Jensen also showed strong leadership and support when he coached the Year 7 Boys team to their victory at the Hume Region Basketball Carnival.
Aiden Whitelaw – Aiden has shown a strong commitment to improve in all aspects of the Sports Academy program in 2023. He has continued to push himself in the strength and conditioning sessions and technical skill sessions which have helped him achieve great success on the court this year. He has upheld the NDC values as well as the Sports Academy values of Kindness, Encouragement and Commitment.

Both Jensen & Aiden receive a $150 voucher from Intersport as well as half price fee’s to play Basketball for the Marist Basketball Club.
