Coronavirus Update from Kris Walker - 3 December 2020

Dear Parents,

Presentation Night aims to celebrate the full array of life at Notre Dame College in 2020.  The special occasion focuses on student’s accomplishments in academic achievement, application to study, the Arts, Service and Leadership.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 Restrictions, we are unable to gather for Presentation Night. However, despite the challenges that COVID-19 has presented to student learning and the broader College community, our students give us every reason to celebrate a hope filled future.

The College will unveil the 2020 Awardees on Tuesday the 8 December on the College website. Parents will be notified via SMS that their students are receiving awards on Friday 4 December. Students will receive certificates in the mail that acknowledge their commitment and success.

Academic Scholarships have been developed to encourage, acknowledge and promote student academic excellence and application across all subjects.  Academic scholarships are offered to the boy and girl in Years 7 – 11 who achieves the highest-grade average for their studies over the year. The VCE Dux will acknowledge the student who achieves the highest ATAR in Year 12. Each student will be awarded a $500 scholarship. Principal Scholarships including Year level Dux, VCAL Achievement Awards and VCE Dux will be announced and recognised at the first whole school College assembly in 2021.

Congratulations to students receiving an award.  We look forward to honouring their positive contribution and achievements when award medallions are presented at assembly at the start of 2021.

We wish you all a safe and blessed Christmas and Happy New Year.

Yours sincerely

Kris Walker
