Student Free Day – Monday, 23 August 2021

Monday, 23 August 2021 has now been declared a student free day to support our teaching staff in preparing to move back into remote learning.

Remote Learning will recommence for all students from Tuesday, 24 August to Thursday, 2 September 2021. Students will return to school onsite on Friday, 3 September 2021.

Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams will be used by teachers to communicate with students and conduct lessons.

Parents are encouraged to communicate through their child's Pastoral group leader and Head of House if their child is unable to maintain the learning expectations of their teachers and consideration for adapted learning plans can be established.

Onsite Supervision

For those students who meet the below criteria, we will be running an onsite supervision program from Monday, 23 August to Thursday, 2 September 2021 at the Knight Street Campus.  You can find the full list of the eligible authorised workers HERE.

Students who are NOT registered will have to be collected from the College and taken home.

Bookings must be made by 2:00pm the day prior.

Criteria for Onsite Supervision Program:

  1. Both parents and/or carers are authorised workers who cannot work from home and no other supervision arrangements can be made.   2. Students considered vulnerable will be notified by our Wellbeing Team, Head of House or Director of Year 9.

Any Year 9 student booked into supervision programme will be based at Knight Street.

Masks will be required inside and outside for all students (except those who have an exemption) who attend the programme.

The canteen will not be available to purchase food or drinks.  Students must ensure they bring food and a drink bottle.

Masks continue to be mandatory for all Victorian citizens over the age of 12 years are compelled to wear masks when out of their home. Face masks will also need to be worn inside and outdoors – everywhere except your own home.

In schools, this means that all school-based staff and secondary school students will be required to wear a face covering.
