Students will be required to prepare all of their meals while on Daborra with assistance from OEG and Notre Dame College staff with the food and supplies provided by OEG. All dietary requirements are taken into account and no nut ingredients are allowed on the program. Please ensure your student’s medical details are correctly updated on Operoo (CareMonkey) to allow us to cater for your child’s dietary requirements including but not limited to coeliac, halal and any anaphylaxis requirements.

Each group will consist of no more than 14 students (there will be no mixed sex groups) and will have two leaders with them at all times – one leader from OEG and one leader from Notre Dame College.

A representative from OEG will be spending the day at Emmaus on Tuesday 16 February 2021. The students will be spoken to by community throughout the day and will be given an overview of what to expect while on Daborra. Students will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions during these sessions.

Parents are then encouraged to come along that evening to the “Daborra Launch” which will be run by the OEG representative. We understand that you may have numerous questions and decisions to make as well as a great deal of information to work through, so to assist parents and students in the process, all Year 9 students and their parents are encouraged to attend the “Daborra” Information Evening as follows:
