If your child does not attend Transition Day, please ask them to check their email for an email from Susan Sulejman. This will contain the link to the Google Form your child is required to complete to make their selection.

This must be completed by no later than Monday 13th December 2022.

Once the students have made their selection, they will be placed into a group of no more than 14 students (there will be no mixed gender groups). Each group will consist of two leaders – one from Adventure Plus and one from Notre Dame College. The students will find out their location on the first day of Term 1, 2022.

A portal has been created for Daborra. Once you logon to the portal, you will find six separate options representing each of the above locations. Once your child has been allocated their location, you can then obtain all the information you require from that section of the portal including the Clothing and Equipment List, the departure and arrival times and activities they will be undertaking, just to name a few.

The most important piece of equipment your child will require which you will need to provide is a quality sleeping bag with a -5° rating. There will be specific information about clothing and equipment provided at the information session listed below, including exclusive offers for Notre Dame College students to purchase their gear from Kathmandu, Aussie Disposals and Anaconda.

Students will be required to prepare all their meals while on Daborra with assistance from their Adventure Plus and Notre Dame College Group Leaders with all food and equipment provided by Adventure Plus. All dietary requirements are taken into account and no nut ingredients are allowed on the program. Please ensure your students medical details are correctly updated on Operoo to allow us to cater for your child’s dietary requirements including but not limited to celiac, halal and any anaphylaxis requirements.

Representatives from Adventure Plus will be spending the day at Emmaus on Transition Day as well as on Tuesday 15th February 2022. The students will sit through a presentation and will be given an overview of what to expect while on Daborra. Students will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions during these sessions.

All parents/guardians are encouraged to come along to the Parent Information Evening which will be run by the Adventure Plus representatives. We understand that you may have numerous questions and decisions to make as well as a great deal of information to work through.
